The secret to pool deck cleaning is using the right method, not the most pressure. In Ottawa, OH, we match the cleaner and pressure to the surface so it comes out clean without damage.

Why more pressure isn’t better
- Peeling or etching a coated 'cool deck' surface with high pressure
- Chemicals and wash water getting into the pool
- Pitting travertine with acid cleaners
- Slips on wet, treated surfaces
Our process for pool deck cleaning
- Check the deck material and coating
- Protect the pool and nearby plants
- Pre-treat algae and stains with pool-safe methods
- Clean with pressure suited to the surface
- Rinse thoroughly away from the water
Many pool decks have a textured acrylic or 'cool deck' coating. These need lower pressure than bare concrete, and a deck that is peeling may need recoating rather than more cleaning.

Pool Deck Cleaning: frequently asked questions
How much does pool deck cleaning cost in Ottawa, OH?
Pool Deck Cleaning typically costs $200-$500 for a typical residential pool deck, and usually takes 1-3 hours. The exact price depends on the size and condition, and you get it before any work starts. Call (555) 010-0000 for a free quote.
Do you use high pressure for pool deck cleaning?
Pool Deck Cleaning is done with low-to-moderate pressure wash. Low pressure and the right solution remove growth and dirt without damaging the surface, and the growth takes longer to come back.
Is pool deck cleaning safe for my plants and pets?
We pre-wet plants and lawns, keep cleaning solutions diluted to what the surface needs, and rinse landscaping again when we finish. Keep pets and children inside until surfaces are rinsed and dry.
How often should I schedule pool deck cleaning?
Once or twice a year. Shade, nearby trees, humidity and heavy traffic mean more frequent cleaning; sunny, dry spots can go longer. Our free cleaning frequency tool gives a recommendation for your climate.
What if it rains on the day?
Light rain doesn't stop most washing, but heavy rain, high wind, lightning and freezing temperatures do. If the weather isn't right, we reschedule at no charge. Our work is backed by a satisfaction guarantee.
